Doodle 3, The fox in a dress, Character development

Character development. Initial sketches for a fearless, cheeky  fox
Wherever he appears people are jumping out of their skin.  Just imagine, you are sipping your tea and when you look up a fully and carefully dressed fox is sitting opposite....:-) politely asking you to pass the scones.

Portrait painting 2

Girls are blessings, M and C from New York City (SOLD)
(DETAIL, 30 X 40 inch oil on canvas)
When I delivered the finished picture the young C, one year old at that time, started to run and jump with joy recognizing her beloved mother.
The Alchemist's Dream, 23.6X31.5 inch oil on canvas
(Artist's property)
Based on numerous old photographs from the 1920s-30s this picture was painted to remember a very special person.

Portrait painting 1

(13.4 X 11.8 inches) oil on lime board
The thin and transparent oil layers make him look more fragile.
To capture the soul of your sitter sometimes is more complicated than it sounds. Many years ago this little fellow was a real survivor, born with numerous problems the doctors were struggling for  his life for months. Then he became a gorgeous little boy, fourth child in a loving family.

Episode, 22 x 29.5 inch oil on canvas
My twins in the middle of adolescence.
At the background there are the mountains they would go hiking.
